Trees Fell At 13 Places Across Pune City Due To Overnight Rain

Pune, 6th July 2022: At midnight, torrential rains in Pune city caused tree falls at 13 different places. A large tree collapsed at the Government Rest House in the Queen’s Garden area today morning. The firefighters helped in removing fallen tree branches and streamlining the traffic flow.
It rained heavily in the city at midnight, and the rainfall continued until dawn. As informed by the control room of the fire brigade, trees fell at 13 places due to the overnight rain.
Trees fell near Dattawadi Police Station, Shinde Bridge in Shivane area, Tingre Nagar’s Lane No. 6 in Vishrantwadi area, Lulla Nagar, Municipal Colony in Bhavani Peth, Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk in Aundh, Street No. 14 on Prabhat Road, near New Government Rest House, Ashok Chowk in Nana Peth, Jadhav Vasti in Kalas village on Alandi Road, near Quality Bakery in Hadapsar, Mayur Colony in Kothrud, and on Gulawani Maharaj Path in Erandwane area.
