Mumbai, 4th March 2025: Box office numbers play a big role in a film’s success, but not every well-reviewed movie gets the audience it deserves. Crazy, a suspense thriller starring Sohum Shah, is facing the same challenge. Despite earning a strong IMDb rating of 9 and positive reviews from critics, the film is seeing slow collections at the box office.

Directed by Girish Kohli, Crazy was released in theaters on February 28 but has struggled to gain momentum at the box office. The film opened with ₹1 crore on its first day, and the weekend collections were decent. However, things slowed down on Monday as the movie faced stiff competition from Chhawa, which continues to dominate theaters. Despite getting a strong IMDb rating and good reviews from critics, Crazy couldn’t attract large audiences.

As per early estimates from Sacnilk, the film collected just ₹75 lakh on its fourth day, bringing the total to ₹4.5 crore in four days. However, these figures are not officially confirmed. If the film doesn’t pick up soon, it might struggle to reach a respectable total. While Crazy has been praised for its suspenseful storytelling and
Sohum Shah’s performance, it seems to be getting overshadowed by bigger releases. Now, it remains to be seen if word-of-mouth can help boost its collections in the coming days.

Despite good reviews and strong performances, Crazy is finding it tough at the box office. The film started with ₹1 crore on its first day, picked up slightly over the weekend with ₹1.35 crore on Saturday and ₹1.4 crore on Sunday, but took a big hit on Monday, dropping to just ₹75 lakh. This brings its total four-day collection to ₹4.5 crore. With Chhawa running strong, Crazy is struggling to keep up. Even with its suspenseful story and Sohum Shah’s solid acting, the film needs a big push from word-of-mouth if it wants to stay in the race.

The story of the film is about a father who leaves his daughter just because she is not physically and mentally fit. But one day he gets the news of his daughter’s kidnapping and sets out on a rollercoaster journey to rescue her. What he finds out in the end blows his mind. Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 20 crore, only Sohum Shah is seen in the entire film, and only the voice of the rest of the star cast is heard.

Film critics believed that it is not possible for a low-budget film like Crazy to survive in Chhawa Ki Aandhi, but Sohum Shah is known for breaking records. After a great job in the Tumbbad film, now his latest movie has also made a big hit at the box office. Crazy, full of suspense and thrill, is only 93 minutes, but the story is effective and because of this, the movie is not facing the lack of audience. In terms of collection, the graph of the film’s earnings is constantly increasing.
