Pune, May 13, 2020: Twitter, is one of the first organizations to achieve a work-from-home policy to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Twitter employees can work from home permanently if they want.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey informed the employees in an email. In the email, Dorsey said the company wouldn’t likely return to its offices before September, and even after lockdown measures end, employees could continue work from home if they want.

He also said any reopening of its offices will be “careful, intentional, office by office and gradual” when conditions permit. “We’re proud of the early action we took to protect the health of our employees and our communities. That will remain our top priority as we work through the unknowns of the coming months,” the Twitter spokesperson says in the statement published.

“The past few months have proven we can make that work,” the statement continues. “So if our employees are in a role and situation that enables them to work from home and they want to continue to do so forever, we will make that happen”, the spokesperson summed.

Google and Facebook have also told their staffs to work from home for at least the rest of 2020.
