Two-Day Rain Alert For Pune; Citizens Advised To Take Necessary Precautions
Pune, 15th April 2023: Rain is expected in the city today (15th April) and for the next two-three days. It is predicted that there will be clear skies in the afternoon and heavy rain with thundershowers after the evening. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has advised not to step out of the house when the temperature rises from 11 am to 2:30 pm. A two-day alert has been issued.
There was light rain in some places in the city on Friday (April 14), evening. The sky is cloudy in Pune city and district, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some places. In the next seven days, gusty wind, light rain, and lightning are predicted to occur in Pune and the surrounding area.
A low-pressure belt has formed from Kerala to Chhattisgarh. Due to this, there may be rain in Madhya Maharashtra. Trees may collapse due to lightning strikes. Therefore, the Meteorological Department has advised citizens not to stand under trees and not to use mobile phones during lightning.
