Two Lives Lost in Nadiad Bus Accident: Ahmedabad-Pune Route Devastated

Ahmedabad/Pune, 24th February 2024: In Nadiad, on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway, a bus and a cement tanker collided, resulting in two fatalities and multiple injuries. The incident occurred on Friday night when the bus broke through the guardrail, plunging 25 feet onto the road, and causing a stir in the vicinity.

According to Superintendent of Police Rajesh Gadhia, the bus was en route from Ahmedabad to Pune with approximately 23 passengers onboard. The cement tanker abruptly swerved to the left, colliding with the bus. Two individuals lost their lives, and several others sustained injuries and received medical attention. The police are set to register a case against the tanker driver, with further legal action to follow. The incident has left the community in shock and grief.

Following the collision, the injured were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. The cement tanker driver’s sudden left turn resulted in the collision with the bus, leading to the incident.

In a separate incident on Wednesday, chaos unfolded on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai National Highway when a tanker overturned and burst into flames near Vaghaldhara village in Valsad district, Gujarat. The Dungri police, upon receiving reports of the fire, swiftly responded to the scene, accompanied by multiple fire engines to address the emergency. The authorities are likely working to investigate the cause of the incident and manage its aftermath.
