Pune, 23 August 2021: A video shared by Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra on Twitter has gone viral.

Mahindra posted a video on Sunday evening of two tigers on the road in Panchgani near Mahabaleshwar.

Mahindra tweeted, “So our XUV isn’t the only big cat on the highway… Magnificent.”

According to the video, the tiger was spotted on the road near Panchgani on August 19, 2021 at night. The video shows a tiger coming out of the bushes on the side of the road. He then comes to the bike parked on the other side and goes again in the direction from which he came out. Meanwhile, another big tiger comes out. Seeing the two tigers, the passengers in the vehicle from which the video was taken are frightened and start telling the driver to back off. But the driver tells them to keep quiet. In a short time, these tigers go back to the forest. In the video, both tigers are clearly visible in the light of the car’s headlights.

The video has gone viral.

Having a tiger in the forest is a symbol of a prosperous forest. Tigers are a major component of the food chain in the wild. Tigers are often seen in the Mahabaleshwar-Panchgani belt. Chandoli National Park and Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary have been declared as Sahyadri Tiger Reserve. Along with tigers, cows, chitals, sambars, deer and leopards can be seen here. Many rare plants and animals are found in the hills of Sahyadri in the Satara, Sangli and Kolhapur districts.
