Wagholi, 31st January 2024: In the early hours of today, at approximately 05:34 am, an accident took place on the Pune-Ahmednagar Highway, near Soyarik Garden Mangal Karyalaya in Wagholi.
The incident involved two vehicles, one of which was a truck. The timely response of the PMRDA Fire Station played a crucial role in preventing a potential tragedy.
The driver, identified as Umesh Yadav, found himself in a precarious situation as he was trapped within the wreckage of the truck. The emergency services, upon receiving the call, swiftly dispatched a fire engine to the scene.
Firefighters Sachin Gawli, Rizwan Faras, Sandeep Tambe, and Mahesh Patil, alongside driver Altaf Patel, exhibited commendable teamwork and skill during the rescue operation. Their prompt and coordinated efforts ensured that Yadav was successfully extricated from the vehicle.
The trapped driver was immediately transferred to the hospital via ambulance. The quick and efficient response played a pivotal role in saving the life of Umesh Yadav.
