Two Women Assault Traffic Police Officer in Pune Over Motorcycle Towing Incident

Pune, 29th January 2025: A disturbing incident occurred in the Hadapsar area where two women physically assaulted a traffic police officer who was enforcing regulations on motorcycles parked on the footpath. The officer, identified as Police Constable Ajinath Aghav, has filed a complaint against the women, leading to the registration of a case by the Hadapsar Police.

The accused, Balika Suryawanshi and Sangeet Landge, reportedly parked their motorcycle irresponsibly in the vehicle parking area of Hadapsar. Yesterday morning around 11 AM, while officers were towing vehicles parked on the footpath, the women confronted Constable Aghav as he attempted to tow their motorcycle.

According to police reports, the women began arguing with Aghav and escalated the situation by physically attacking him with their slippers and pushing him. They threatened him during the altercation, which constituted an obstruction of official duties.

In response to this incident, a case has been registered against both women under relevant sections for obstructing government work. Police Sub-Inspector Altaf Shaikh is currently investigating the matter to gather further details and ensure appropriate action is taken against the offenders.
