Pune, 21st January 2025: Former real estate tycoon Donald Trump, now sworn in as the 47th President of the United States of America, once visited Pune to inspect a luxury apartment project bearing his name.

Approximately a decade ago, Trump toured a show flat in the Trump Towers project developed by Panchshil Realty in Pune. Impressed by the property, he expressed interest in exploring further investment opportunities in India’s real estate sector.

The visit led to a partnership that resulted in the construction of two 23-story twin towers in Pune, featuring the distinctive black glass architecture now synonymous with Trump Towers worldwide.

Sagar Chordia, Director of Panchshil Realty, revealed that the collaboration began in 2012 with a teleconference involving Donald Trump Jr. The deal was largely finalized during the first call, elevating the project’s prestige and increasing property values by 20-25%.

The Trump brand generated significant demand among high-end clients. Each 6,100-square-foot apartment was priced between 14 and 15 crore rupees. Notable buyers included the late actor Rishi Kapoor and his son Ranbir Kapoor, who purchased three flats, each yielding monthly rental returns of 4.5 to 5 lakh rupees.

Following the project’s success, the Chordia brothers visited New York to explore further partnerships with the Trump Organization.
