Under-19 Cricket Tournament: Hosts PYC Gymkhana, 22 Yards Enter Semifinal Of PYC Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy
Pune, February 14, 2021: Hosts PYC Hindu Gymkhana, 22 Yards Cricket Club entered the semifinal round of the Third Edition of the “PYC-Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy” Invitation Under-19 Cricket Tournament organized by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played on PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Nehru Stadium, Deccan Gymkhana grounds.
PYC Gymkhana buoyed by an Opening partnership of 121 runs in 152 balls between Soham Shinde 63runs) and Shreyash Walekar (52runs) recorded 246 runs for the loss of 7 wickets against 22 Yards Cricket Club in their last league match.
22 Yards Cricket club could make only 229 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and go down by 17 runs, but a better run rate helped 22 Yards make the last 4 stages inspite of a loss. PYC Gymkhana finished the league matches with 3 wins and 1 tie to seal the semifinal spot
In another league match chasing 182 runs set by Poona club, 6th wicket partnership of 107runs in 111balls between Suraj Gond(not out 76runs) and Rohit Chaudhari(not out 59runs) helped Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy reach 185 runs for the loss of 5 wickets and win comfortably by 5 wickets
