Undre, Dhamdhere, Kirtane, Deshmukh, Pathare knockout seeds at Pune District Under 17 Tennis Championships
Pune, May 13, 2023: Varad Undre, Swaraj Dhamdhere, Arjun Kirtane, Kavya Deshmukh and Shreya Pathare upset seeds to move into the semifinal round at the Pune District under 17 boys and girls Tennis Championships organised by Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association (PMDTA) and Deccan Gymkhana at the Deccan Gymkhana Tennis Courts.
In the Boys Quarter Final Round unseeded Varad Undre upset top seeded Abhiram Nilakhe 7-5 , seventh seeded Swaraj Dhamdhere toppled second seeded Nachiket Gore 7-2 , while eighth seeded Arjun Kirtane scraped past fourth seeded Divyang Kavitke 7-6(3)
to move to the last four.
In the Girls section Kavya Deshmukh upset third seeded Nishita Desai 7-3 , while Shreya Pathare upset fourth seeded Vaishnavi Chauhan 7-2.
