Union Home Minister Amit Shah Meets Tilak family On Pune Visit

Pune, 18th February 2023: Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Pune on Saturday to meet with the family of late BJP MLA Mukta Tilak ahead of the upcoming by-elections for Kasba Assembly Constituency.

During the meeting, Shah discussed the upcoming elections with Shailesh Tilak and Kunal Tilak. The family had expressed their displeasure at the BJP candidate selection process for the upcoming elections, but Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and other party leaders were able to resolve the issue.

Shah’s visit to Pune is considered crucial in light of the upcoming by-elections in Kasba and Chinchwad assembly constituencies. Shah arrived at Lohegaon Airport in a special plane of the Border Security Force (BSF) and was welcomed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. BJP has made extensive preparations for Shah’s visit and the police administration has deployed a large contingent of officers to ensure security and prevent any untoward incidents.

Earlier, a man had tried to go close to him but he was nabbed by the security agencies.
