Union Home Minister Amit Shah To Chair Western Divisional Meeting In Pune On 22nd February

Pune, 15th February 2025: Union Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Pune for the first time after the recent Assembly elections. He will chair the Western Divisional Meeting of the Union Home Department on 22nd February at a five-star hotel in Koregaon Park. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has been tasked with organizing the event, with Additional Commissioner Prithviraj BP overseeing the preparations.

On the same day, Shah will also attend a housing distribution program under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at Balewadi. The event, organized by the Zilla Parishad, will see the distribution of the first installment and house approval certificates to beneficiaries of the Gharkul scheme in rural areas. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, will also be present.

The Western Divisional Meeting will bring together officials from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu to discuss key administrative and security matters. In preparation for the event, the district administration has appointed Prithviraj BP as the nodal officer, with 11 other officials assigned specific responsibilities.
