Uttar Pradesh: Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar To Contest Election Against Yogi Adityanath
Lucknow, 8th November 2021: Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar alias Ravana made a big announcement on Monday.
Chandrashekhar, who is going to enter the election field for the first time in the name of the Azad Party, announced that he will himself contest against CM Yogi Adityanath. Chandrashekhar, who has announced to contest all 403 seats in UP, also clarified his position on the alliance.
In a conversation, Chandrashekhar said that wherever Yogi Adityanath will contest elections, he will also field from there. Chandrashekhar said that ”The party’s core committee decides to contest the elections. If you ask my wish, I will contest from where UP CM Yogi Adityanath will contest. To avenge the atrocities on the people in the last four-and-a-half years, I will fight against him and will not allow him to enter the assembly. Yogi should decide any seat, from where he will fight, I will fight from there.”
Chandrashekhar also said that ”Only a strong candidate should be fielded to defeat Yogi. When we say that BJP has to be stopped, it means that Yogi has to be stopped. Yogi is the strongest candidate for BJP. In such a situation, there should be a strong candidate against him. Akhilesh or Mayawati should fight. If both people don’t fight then leave me to fight and support me. If SP-BSP also gives any candidate, it will give strength to Yogi. My demand will also be that the people of the opposition should also think of this. When I go in public, people know that this person is not for sale, he is durable, will not run away. When I go against Yogi, I will not allow him to enter the House.”
On the matter of alliance, Chandrashekhar said that ”My priority will be BSP. I was constantly insulted by BSP, even after that my priority is to have an alliance with BSP. We want Azad Samaj Party and BSP to form an alliance.”
On the question that Mayawati does not like him, Chandrashekhar said that ”The Dalit voter is not a slave of anyone. He was with Congress at the time of independence. Stayed with Ram Vilas Paswan, Jagjivan Ram, Kanshi Ram, and sister. Dalit society always likes the leader who fights. For me Bahujan Samaj is paramount. That’s why I have taken the initiative and want that BSP and Azad Samaj Party should come together to stop the BJP.”
He said that ”After the elections, no one will come to fight the battle of Bahujan Samaj. Then only Azad Samaj Party and Bhim Army will come to fight. When the houses of Dalits are burnt, they are subjected to atrocities, then only our party will come to fight on the streets. On the alliance with Priyanka Gandhi or Akhilesh, he said that the party will take this decision. At present, the doors of the alliance are open to all. Our priority is to defeat the BJP.”
