Uttar Pradesh: Priest unravels many secrets, police took two women into custody in Badaun gang rape case

Lucknow, January 8, 2021: The priest was interrogated by the police overnight after the arrest of Mahant Satyanarayana, who was involved in the aftermath of the gang-rape in Badaun. He has unfurled a lot of previously unknown information. On the basis of these, the police has taken into custody two more women of the village. They are also being questioned in the police station. Officials say that by late evening all will be uncovered.
On Thursday night, the villagers sieged Mahant. After this, the police questioned him on various aspects throughout the night. After all, what was the reason for the incident and what was the relationship with the woman. During the answers to these questions, he also opened a box of many such secrets, on the basis of which two more women have to be brought in. SSP Sankalp Sharma said that the accused has been caught. He is being questioned. He will be produced before court after thorough questioning.
50-year-old Anganwadi Sahayika was murdered after being gang-raped in Ughaiti police station area of Badaun on 3 January. The post-mortem report found evidence of injuries similar to Nirbhaya’s. There was a case of inserting something rod-like in the genitals. Her left rib, left leg and left lung were also damaged by a heavy hit. The woman had severe wounds in her private parts. She had lost a lot of blood.
The report also showed that an iron rod was inserted in the genitals. The officers were shocked to see the report. Following the post-mortem, the Ughaiti police registered a case of rape and murder against Mahant Satyanarayana Das of Dharmasthala, and his associates Vedram and Yashpal. Vedram and Yashpal were arrested and sent to jail. A reward of 50 thousand was announced on absconding Mahant Satyanarayana Das.
