Veteran journalist Roop Karnani’s Passes Away

Veteran former journalist and MD of Inspirations PR, Roop Karnani passed away suddenly on 31st December 2016, of a cardiac arrest. He was 62 years old.

Karnani worked at Business India for a decade, and then was Asst Editor at Business Today, after which he started his PR firm, Inspirations. Karnani has been bestowed with a number of Awards including the India Travel Awards for Best Communicator in August 2014 ; Rotary Award for Lifetime Achievement in June 2014;  Chanakya Award by PR Council of India, New Delhi at the hands of the Union Minister in March 2015; Rotary Vocational Service Award 2009-2010; Life Time Achievement Award 2014 for lifelong contributions & creative achievements  and the PRCI Best emerging PRCI Chapter Pune in 2010

Also an author, Karnani had written a biography on the late H.K. Firodia, who was the founder of the Rs.5 billion Firodia Empire.

He is survived by his wife, Usha and daughter, Prerna, and his aged uncle and aunt, Bhagwan Khilnani (94) and Shakuntala Khilnani (91), who brought him up from childhood.
