Viral Reel, Traffic Trouble: Fortuner Driver Blocks Road in Chakan
Pune, 7th September 2026: A Fortuner driver stopped the SUV across a road in the Chakan MIDC area to film a social media reel, disrupting traffic and raising concerns over road safety.
According to the video circulating on social media, the vehicle was positioned across the road while the reel was being recorded. The move forced other motorists to navigate around the SUV, causing inconvenience and traffic disruption.
The incident has drawn attention online, with questions being raised over the use of public roads for social media content and the potential risks posed to other road users.
The incident comes shortly after a similar case on the Pune–Bengaluru Highway, where a vehicle was stopped on the road for filming a social media reel.
The video has also raised questions over whether action will be taken by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Traffic Police against the driver for obstructing traffic and compromising road safety.
