Visit Delegation of Virginia Tech University, USA at MIT ADT University campus
Pune, 23 :- The high power delegation from Virginia Tech University visited MIT Art, Design and Technology University , Rajbaug, on 18thJuly 2018. The members of delegation were Dr. Guru Ghosh- Vice President, Outreach an International Affairs, Dr. Ms. Theresa Johansson- Director, International Affairs, Dr. Ms. Gene Ball- Director, International Finance and Administration, Dr. Tarun Sen, Dr. Jane Swan- Director, Finance and Administration, Dr. Ms. Lesa Hanlin- Executive Director, Roanoke Regional Institutes. Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad, Executive President – MIT ADT University, Pune, Dr. Sunil Ray, Vice Chancellor, MIT ADT University, Prof. Sunita M. Karad, Director, MIT COM, Prof. Dr. Kishor Ravande Principal MIT School of Engineering was present and welcome for guest this event.
The one of the objectives of the visit was to explore the possibilities of collaboration between both Universities for offering collateral academic programs for Post Graduate studies in Management domain. The universities have formulated a collaborative program and agreed to launch the same at the earliest.
The second objective of the delegation was to explore the possibilities of establishing world class Advance State of the Art Research Centre for Integrated Technology ( Bell Lab 2.0) at MIT Art, Design and Technology campus. This research facility shall cater the need of solution finding and innovation exploration for corporate and industries and allied agencies in India and Abroad. The research laboratory shall also be helpful in enhancing the research outcomes form the local promising intellectuals. The social problems of the region are expected be dealt with innovative and economical technologies indigenously developed at this centre.
The delegation has agreed to form the research committees on both sides to come up with concrete plan to realise the endeavour of Integrated research center in interest of life on planate.
