Voter Roll revision: Pune To Issue 13.32L Notices, Hearings From Today
Pune, 23rd September 2026: The special intensive revision of voter lists in Pune district will enter its hearing phase from Wednesday, with notices being issued to voters over discrepancies in names and those whose records have not been mapped.
The district election authorities plan to issue notices to 13.32 lakh voters, of which notices for 8.25 lakh (61.96%) have been prepared so far. The remaining 5.06 lakh notices will be prepared and delivered in phases.
The Election Commission of India has set October 31 as the deadline to complete the hearing process. The exercise is being carried out across all 21 assembly constituencies through Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Electoral Registration Officers.
Among the constituencies, Hadapsar has the highest number of notices at 1.22 lakh, while Khadakwasla and Chinchwad each have more than one lakh voters covered under the process. Bhosari has the lowest number, with 17,902 notices.
Pune district ranks ninth in the state in terms of notices prepared as part of the revision exercise.
The district election office has urged voters who receive notices to attend the hearing on the specified date and time with the required documents. Officials said failure to attend could create difficulties while deciding on the voter’s registration and urged voters to cooperate with the process.
