Pune, 27th August 2026: VTP Realty celebrated Raksha Bandhan with more than 350 employees as part of an initiative aimed at fostering a sense of belonging, camaraderie and meaningful relationships in the workplace.

In its second year, the initiative was organised particularly for employees who may not have siblings with whom to celebrate the festival. It provided colleagues an opportunity to come together and create bonds that extend beyond their professional relationships.

The celebration was attended by VTP Group Chairman Vilaskumar Thanmal Palresha, along with the company’s senior leadership and HR team. During the event, women employees tied rakhis to their male colleagues, while employees came together to celebrate the spirit of care, respect and togetherness associated with Raksha Bandhan.

Speaking on the occasion, Harsha Palande, Group Head of HR, VTP Group, said, “Raksha Bandhan is about the warmth of having someone to celebrate with, and sometimes, it is the people around us who make that feeling possible. We wanted our colleagues who do not have siblings to experience that warmth here at work. Seeing them celebrate Raksha Bandhan made this initiative very special for all of us.”

For some employees, the occasion carried deeper emotional significance, particularly for those who had never had the opportunity to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with a sibling. What may have appeared to be a simple workplace gesture became an opportunity for some employees to experience a tradition they had not previously been able to celebrate.

The programme began with a virtual interaction with Sadhvi Ishdarshana, who addressed the employees with an inspiring message and encouraged them to nurture bonds based on mutual respect and support.

The interaction was followed by the traditional Raksha Bandhan ceremony, during which employees exchanged wishes and tied rakhis.

A male employee of VTP Realty said, “I have never really experienced Raksha Bandhan this way before, so being part of this celebration was quite emotional for me. What made it special was that it did not feel like just an event. There was genuine warmth among everyone, and it felt good to have someone tie a rakhi and share that moment with me.”

Through the initiative, VTP Realty said it seeks to create opportunities for employees to celebrate traditions, build connections and develop a stronger sense of community in the workplace.
