Wadia College of Engineering inaugurates Accops–Wadia Center of Excellence in Virtualization
Pune, 02 May 2025: The Department of Computer Engineering, Wadia College of Engineering, Pune, in a pioneering step towards enhancing digital education infrastructure, inaugurated the Accops–Wadia CoE Center of Excellence in Virtualization on May 2, 2025. The CoE has been established in collaboration with Accops Systems Pvt. Ltd., a leading provider of secure digital workspace solutions.
The inauguration took place with distinguished guests from Accops in attendance. Mr. Vijender Yadav, Co-Founder (Accops Systems Pvt. Ltd.), Dr. Ashok Chandak (Trustee Modern Education Society) and Prof. Sachin Sanap (Trustee Modern Education Society) jointly inaugurated the center of excellence, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Dr. Sonawane (COO, Modern Education Society), and Dr. Ganeshan (CFO, Modern Education Society), alongside Dr. Manisha Dale (Principal, Wadia College of Engineering) and Dr. Nuzhat Shaikh (Head, Department of Computer Engineering). The ceremony was graced by heads of various departments, faculty members and students across disciplines.
The newly launched centre features HyLabs, an advanced virtualization platform by Accops that facilitates secure, remote access to computing lab environments. This facility will provide students and faculty with the flexibility to engage in practical learning beyond the physical campus, fostering 24/7 digital access to essential software and lab tools. With this initiative, Wadia College of Engineering strengthens its commitment to equipping educators with cutting-edge tools, ensuring students receive a future-ready, technology-driven learning experience. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in bridging the gap between academia and industry, positioning Wadia CoE as a leader in digital transformation in education.
The event concluded with a networking lunch and enthusiastic interaction among stakeholders, celebrating a key milestone in the college’s digital transformation journey.
