Wadia Hospital Organises the 6th edition of children’s most favourite ‘Little Hearts Marathon’ 2019

Mumbai, 18^th January 2019: The zeal with which children participate year after year that marathon is back. Wadia Hospital gleefully announces its 6^th Edition of Little Hearts Marathon. The objective for this initiative is to ‘Save hearts, Save Lives.  This marathon helps to generate loads of funds for little lives to get treated with complex cardiac disease. In 2018 approximately 1000 children’s were treated.

The Little Hearts Marathon event has three categories; wish run, dream run and delight run. The age categories and race distances for wish run is 7-10 years with 1.0km, for dream run 11-14 years with 2.5km , and for delight run its 15-18 years with 5km.   Fees for every age group participants is  Rs 500/-

“Due to lack of funds majority of the kids are unable to avail proper treatment. The biggest reason for increased mortality and morbidity is because of symptoms of congenital heart disease starts at  1^st or 2^nd month after baby is born, which is highly unnoticeable. Thus Little Heart Marathon is the platform  to spread awareness and make those tiny tots live happily,” said Dr Bodhanwala, CEO Wadia Hospitals.
