Wagh Bakri Tea Lounge now at FC Road, Pune

Pune, August 6 : Wagh Bakri Tea Group is opening ‘Wagh Bakri Tea Lounge’ in the cultural capital of Maharashtra – Pune. At present 12 Wagh Bakri Tea Lounges are present in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Goa.

The lounge caters more than 45 varieties of teas and a wide range of vegetarian Indian and Continental snacks.

Today Wagh Bakri Tea Group has a strong presence with leadership in Western, Central and Northern India. The group has recently forayed in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamilnadu. The sales turnover during the previous year was Rs. 1100 Crores. The major brands of the parent company are – Good Morning, Wagh Bakri, Mili and Navchetan. Wagh Bakri Tea Group has a fascinating history. It was founded by Shri Narandas Desai in 1892. Shri Narandas Desai was a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi right from his days of fighting of emancipation of the oppressed in South Africa. History took Shri Narandas Desai in 1914 to Pune while Mahatma Gandhi was at Anand Ashram, Laxmi Road. Here Mahatma Gandhi wrote a recommendation for Shri Narandas Desai basis which he began his entrepreneurial journey in India. The first Wagh Bakri Tea Depot took shape in 1919 in Ahmedabad. Since 1919 Wagh Bakri Tea has become one of the most preferred packaged tea brands in India.

The tea lounge in Pune is coming up in one of the most vibrant locations buzzing with ideas and oozing with freshness – FC Road.
