“Was Not Born Into The Homes Of Pawar Saheb Or Vikhe Patil” – Ravindra Dhangekar in Pune

Pune, 15th May 2024: The Pune Lok Sabha Election voting took place two days ago. All three candidates, Mahayuti candidate representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Murlidhar Mohol, Mahavikas Aghadi candidate representing the Indian National Congress, Ravindra Dhangekar, and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) candidate, Vasant More, conducted extensive campaigning across various parts of the Pune Lok Sabha constituency to connect with voters. Their efforts garnered a significant response from the electorate.
The election results will be announced on 4th June. Just like every year, Ankush Kakade and Shrikant Shirole from the Nationalist Congress Party’s Sharad Pawar faction organized a gathering at Wadeshwar Katta before and after the voting process. Dhangekar and More attended the post-voting session, enjoying Idli-Vada Chutney and Shira (Semolina Pudding). However, Mohol couldn’t attend due to personal reasons.
Dhangekar expressed, “I have contested in 10 elections till now. In some, I emerged victorious, while in others, I faced defeat. I have learned valuable lessons from each election, and this one was no exception. However, in this election, my family faced unwarranted criticism. It was a challenging period, but I persevered through it. The times were tough, and my family could have been torn apart. Nevertheless, in the days to come, I will respond to these challenges. This election has caused both financial and personal losses for me. Yet, I harbour no fear of loss. I came into this world with nothing, and I will leave with nothing. I was not born into the homes of Sharad Pawar Saheb or Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil. Therefore, I am determined to answer those who targeted my family.”
He added, “Throughout this election, many senior leaders of the Mahavikas Aghadi held meetings on my behalf in Pune. When Rahul Gandhi visited Pune and witnessed the support I garnered, he remarked that we would meet in Parliament after June 4th. This assurance leads me to believe that I will undoubtedly emerge victorious.”
