Weather Alert: Brace for Prolonged Cold Spell, IMD Pune Warns

Pune, 1st February 2024: Anupam Kashyapi, Head of the Weather Forecasting Division at IMD Pune, issued a cautionary note, saying, “Don’t pack up your woolens just yet.”

 

According to Kashyapi, the current cold spell is anticipated to persist for the next 36 hours. Residents are advised to prepare for chilly weather, with only surface winds expected from northwest India over north-central Maharashtra, including Pune, until the 3rd of February.

 

Kashyapi further highlighted that even the maximum temperatures are set to drop between the 3rd and 5th of February. Additionally, he warned of another robust cold spell looming from the 5th of February onwards, likely lasting for a couple of days.

 

There will be a cloudy sky in Pune on 3rd and 4th February.
