WhatsApp introduces custom chat theme feature for Android users

Pune, 16th August 2024: WhatsApp, the popular messaging app owned by Meta, is rolling out a new custom chat theme feature for Android users, following its earlier release on the beta version for iOS. This new feature allows users to personalize their chat experience by choosing their preferred chat bubble colors and wallpapers. Aimed at enhancing user experience, this update comes as part of WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to introduce new features that cater to its vast user base. With millions of users relying on WhatsApp for daily communication, this new customization option is expected to be a welcome addition.

According to a report from WABetaInfo, a website that tracks upcoming WhatsApp features, the new chat theme feature has already been spotted in the beta version for iOS and is now being prepared for Android. The feature will allow users to select from at least 10 different chat themes. Once a theme is selected, it will automatically set the chat bubble color and wallpaper to match the chosen theme. The feature aims to give users greater control over the appearance of their chat windows, thus enhancing the overall user experience.

The new section in WhatsApp, labeled “Chat Theme,” will include options such as “Message Color” and “Wallpaper,” allowing users to customize their chat settings to their liking. While the feature is still in the development stage, there is no official word on when it will be available in the stable version for all users.
