Pune, January 10, 2021: A new data policy has been implemented by WhatsApp. Users have been provided with a deadline to accept this privacy policy before 8 February 2021.

After this, the account of users who do not accept the privacy policy will be deleted. The company directly says that either you must share your information or delete the account. This sudden change in policy by WhatsApp is a cause of great concern for its users.

One aspect of this is that free apps are not really free, they indirectly make money from your data. If you want to keep your data secure, then you have to pay. Data accessed by WhatsApp of its users and with whom it shares this data is as below.

WhatsApp and Instagram are subsidiaries of Facebook. In such a situation, WhatsApp will share the user’s data with all its subsidiaries. Also, some third-party apps will also share WhatsApp user data. This includes CrowdTangle, Onavo, and some online payment services.

Huge revenue to be earned from this data: Data is currently being called oil. This means that there is a huge earning on the basis of data. Facebook earns heavily on the data of its subsidiary WhatsApp. Also, marketing becomes easier for the company. Money is earned directly by sharing this data with a third party.
