Wife Of Former Maharashtra CM Says: “The reason for divorce in Mumbai is traffic jam in the city”
Mumbai, 5th February 2022: Amruta Fadnavis, wife of BJP leader and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said, “potholes and traffic are big issues in Mumbai. In the city, 3 percent of divorces happen because of traffic jams because they are unable to spend time with their families. Most of their time is wasted in traffic jams.”
On Friday, the strange statement of Devendra Fadnavis’s wife Amruta Fadnavis came to light. Further, Amrita Fadnavis said, “I am saying this as a common citizen. Once I go out I see many issues including potholes, traffic.”
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has hit back at Amruta Fadnavis’s allegations. The mayor in his reply said, “We never claimed that the roads of Mumbai are smooth, but as soon as we get the information, the roads are repaired. People are getting divorced due to traffic jams, this statement is wrong.” The mayor alleged that the BJP is currently campaigning to defame Mumbai.
