Coronavirus in India : With 8,909 cases in a day, India’s COVID-19 tally tops 2 lakh

India, 3 June,  2020 : The number of people infected with the corona virus in the country has crossed two lakhs.  During the last 24 hours, 8,909 new cases of corona virus have been reported, while 217 people have died during this period. There are 1,01,497 active cases of corona virus in the country, while the number of healthy patients has increased to 1,00,302.

For the second time in Maharashtra, more than 100 people have died in a day. The number of active people has crossed 72 thousand. 47 policemen infected in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours in Maharashtra, 47 more policemen have been found infected with the corona virus. A total of 2256 policemen have been infected with Corona so far in the state: Maharashtra Police

The health ministry on Monday said India’s COVID-19 recovery rate has been improving and the rate of fatality has seen a steady decline to reach 2.83 per cent. It said the recovery rate has improved from 11.42 per cent on April 15 to 26.59 per cent on May 3 and to 38.29 per cent on May 18.
