With 9 new patients today, Coronavirus cases rise to 105 in PCMC areas

Pimpri-Chinchwad, April 28, 2020: The number of COVID19 patients in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) areas has been increasing day by day since last week. Today morning nine more Coronavirus patients’ reports came positive taking totally to 106 out of which one woman is from Khadki. Eight patients including six males and two females are from Rupeenagar and there are 28 patients in the area.

 

Meanwhile, PCMC Commissioner Shravan Hardikar yesterday issued an order declaring 16 areas as containment zones where restrictions will continue. For the last one week, the entire area under PCMC was declared as containment zone. However, now some relaxations have been given to areas not under these 16 containment zones.

According to PCMC and police officials, all restrictions will continue in containment zones like major roads being closed and people not allowed leaving their area. Also, the passes given for emergency movement will remain valid until May 3. Moshi sub yard will also function.

These are the 16 containment zones in PCMC areas: Rode Hospital Complex Dighi, Tanishq Orchid Society locality in Charholi, Krishnaraj Colony area in Pimple Gurav, Ramrajya Planet Complex in Kasarwadi, Ganeshnagar locality in Dapodi, Sambhajinagar Kasturi Market Complex, Nehrunagar Bus Depot Nurani Masjid Complex, Kaverinagar police colony premises in Wakad, Kharalwadi Pimpri Jama Masjid to Girme Hospital, PMT Chowk Bhosari Complex, Gurudatta Colony Bhosari Complex, Shastri Chowk Complex in Bhosari, Rupeenagar area in Talwade, Fatima Mosque Gandharvanagari Premises Moshi, Vijayanagar in Dighi and Adinathnagar area in Bhosari.

In containment areas, banks will be allowed to open from 10 am to 2 pm while ATM centres will remain operational round the clock. On the other hand, shops selling grocery, chicken, mutton, vegetables, milk, fruits will be allowed to open from 10 am to 12 noon.

The areas which are out of the containment zones will have different timings. In those areas, milk sale will be allowed between 6 am to 6 pm. On the other hand mutton, chicken, fruits, vegetables, groceries will be allowed to open from 10 am to 4 pm. Also, home delivery of medicines and ready meals will be allowed between 8 am to 10 pm. All hospitals and medical stores will remain functional 24X7.
