Within Without, an exhibition to pay gratitude to a friend
Pune, May 11, 2018: City based late artist Girish Dhumal, had immense love for art. It was only after he passed away his friends discovered his paintings and left them amazed when the renowned artists admired his paintings and titled him as an ‘Abstract Painter’. With the purpose of bringing the extraordinarily talented artist in the public eye his friends are organizing an exhibition, ‘Within Without’which will paint the portrait of the artist.
The art connoisseur of the city can attend this exhibition between Friday, May 18 to Sunday, May 20 at Art2Day Gallery, Bhandarkar Institute Road, Pune from 11 am to 6 pm. This exhibition is organized to make Dhumal’s art noticed in the audience and to make his work to be remembered for years.
It is a general belief that commercial artist is not creative. But this belief does not hold true in Dhumal’s case.
‘Within Without’ is Dhumal’s first exhibition to get an audience. This exhibition will also unveil the book which comprises of Dhumal’s paintings, writings and memories written by his friends and family. Most of the creations are from past 15 to 20 years and have a spiritual touch to it.
The inauguration of the exhibition will take place at the hands of Subhash Awchat, renowned artist on Thursday, May 17 at 6 pm at Art2Day Gallery, Bhandarkar Institute Road, Pune. His close friends who are his batchmates from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalayaand family members will share their precious moments and memories spent with Dhumal at the inauguration.
