“Work with responsibility and accountability” Chief of the Army Staff General M. M. Naravane

Pune, 11 Aug 2020: The 5th anniversary of MIT Arts, Design & Technology University was celebrated online on August 11, 2020. Dignitaries present on the occasion were General M. M. Naravane, Chief of the Army Staff, Padma Shri Pramod Kale, Former Director Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre – ISRO, Dr. Raghavarao KSMS, Director Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder, MIT Group of Institutions & Trustee – MAEER, Pune, Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad, Executive President, MIT Art, Design & Technology University, Pune.

Addressing the gathering, General M. M. Naravane, said, “We all have a responsibility to uphold the sanctity of the Indian Constitution, which was drafted by the framers of the Constitution to build the country. Every Indian should work selflessly recognizing his duties and responsibilities. Students should take the country forward by choosing the right path of development with an inquisitive mind.”

He added, “An environment should be created in the universities for imparting value education. During my 40 year tenure, I faced many challenges. Having spent many years in the same field, I was able to study many things. Everyone should recognize their responsibility. Students should get into the habit of reading from now on. Along with the syllabus, extra reading should be developed. This will give you new ideas. Achieve your courage through teamwork. Set goals and objectives and strive to achieve them. If you give time to your activities, you will definitely get success. Punctuality is the key to success.”

Padma Shri Dr. Pramod Kale said, “Arts, design and technology is an important combination. The Corona epidemic has had a major impact on the education system, but with the increasing expansion of technology, major changes are taking place in the field of education. The distance education system needs to be further strengthened. The epidemic has raised health concerns. The current situation is an opportunity for Indians to be ready for ‘Made in India’.”

KSMS Raghavrao said, “That the need for online teaching is increasing at present. There is a need for healthy and immune-boosting food right now. The food supply chain needs to be strengthened.”
Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Karad said that the university should continue to work knowing what its responsibilities are. Research, innovation and creativity should be used in your work style. Teaching spirituality along with science should solve all the problems.

Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad said that the university has created a culture of innovation and we are working to inculcate value education while preserving moral values. Our goal is to create global professionals.
