Workshop on self defense training in Maharashtra: An initiative towards Women’s safety

Dhruv Defence Motivation Center which gives commando training to kids and teaches martial arts and self defense to women has announced free training to about 400 women on 8 March i.e on International Women’s Day, an initiative by Rupali Saikhedkar, founder of Dhruv Foundation (NGO) to make women stronger.

Demo on self defense techniques and training on how to be safe on streets, will be displayed by Maharashtra police trainers team, cyber crime cell of police will be guiding women on how to be safe while handling social media, Facebook and WhatsApp.

A senior advocate will guide all women on Women’s Rights and Indian law and will increase knowledge on their rights at work place also. And how to act in case of domestic violence and sexual harassment. A training on How to be safe while working at home or quick reaction at any mishap (disaster management) will be conducted by White Army.

This workshop will be supported by Indian Army, White Army and Maharashtra Police.
