Wrestler From Pune Wins Gold At U-15 Asian Championship Wrestling
Pune, 17th July 2022: Wrestler Tanishq Pravin Kadam from Pune has won gold in the U-15 Asian Championship Wrestling held in Bahrain. He performed brilliantly in the 62 kg category.
Kadam trained at the Sahyadri Wrestling Complex, Warje, under the guidance of Indian Wrestling Federation Vice President Vijay Barate, Wrestling Coach Sandeep Patare, Rajkumar Shambhu Nilesh Patil.
Pathare said, “Kadam practices six hours every morning and evening. He has won medals in three national competitions. He has the potential to become India’s leading wrestler.”
BJP Maharashtra state president Chandrakant Patil tweeted, “Pune district wrestler Tanishq Pravin Kadam won the gold medal in the under 15 International wrestling tournament held in Bahrain. Tanishq is the pride of not only Pune but the entire Maharashtra. Congratulations!”
