Yerwada police recovers stolen valuables worth Rs 3 lakhs from two thieves

Pune, September 1, 2019 : The officials from Pune city police’s Yerwada police station detection branch have nabbed two thieves and claimed to have recovered stolen valuables worth Rs 3.05 lakhs from their possession.
Around 10 pm on August 6, gold chain of Sapna Kothari was snatched by unidentified person. She had lodged an FIR in this regard.
While investigating this case, Police sub inspector Mangesh Bhange received tip-off about the robber. Accordingly, accused persons Shakeel Shabbir Shaikh alias Kakadia (20) and Sameer Shabbir Shaikh (22), both resident of Sathevasti in Lohegaon, were arrested.
Senior police inspector Yunus Shaikh, in-charge of Yerwada police station, said that the investigating team has recovered stolen goods including 5 bikes, Rs 5,000 cash, 1 silver chain, 1 gold mangalsutra, 2 stolen mobiles, totally worth Rs 3.05 lakhs.
Additional Commissioner of Police (East region) Sunil Phulari, DCP (Zone 4) Prasad Akkanouru, ACP (Yerwada division) Ramchandra Desai, Inspector (crime) Ajay Waghmare supervised the investigation team which included PSI Mangesh Bhange, ASI Balasaheb Bahirat, head constable Hanumant Jadhav and policemen Manoj Kudale, Ashok Gawali, Kanifnath Karkhele, Sunil Nagnath, Ajay Padole, Samir Borde, Rahul Pardeshi, Pankaj Musale, Nagesh Kuwar and Sunil Sakat.
