YES BANK Partners MCCIA Pune to help Pune-based Businesses Decode GST

Mumbai, July 17, 2017:  Yes Bank, India’s fourth largest private sector bank has partnered with Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) Pune to facilitate hassle-free transition of MSMEs to the new GST regime. YES BANK and MCCIA Pune hosted a GST Decoded knowledge event at Pune which witnessed participation of key business leaders from over 200 SMEs and MSMEs.

The GST Decoded event at Pune also saw attendance of key dignitaries including Shri Surendra Mankoskar, Commissioner GST Pune I and Dr. Anant Sardeshmukh, Director General of MCCIA.

Commenting on the initiative, Rana Kapoor, Managing Director and CEO, YES BANK said, “GST is the most significant economic reform since liberalization launched in 1991, and envisages ‘one Economic India’. MSMEs are the backbone of the economy and it is vital to ensure that they are GST prepared. At YES BANK, we realize the importance of actualizing this learning objective using our differentiated knowledge banking approach.

YES BANK has launched a program to ensure SMEs and MSMEs are fully geared up for GST which includes  access to a specialized GST Advisory Council setup by YES BANK, which will arm participating MSMEs with well-researched conceptual guidance on matters pertaining to legal, financial and operational requirements.

YES BANK is also ensuring that small and medium scale businesses are equipped with a GST-ready product suite which includes a customized current account, credit card, a dedicated section on the website & call-back service for any GST query and a unique cash flow management solution designed by Numberz, a start-up which recently graduated from YES BANK’s fintech accelerator.
