New Delhi, June 16, 2023: YouTube has announced that it is significantly going to reduce eligibility requirements, allowing smaller creators to use video monetization through the YouTube Partner Programme (YPP).

The following are the new updated requirements for accessing fan funding features and Creator Support:

1. In the last 90 days, the channel has gained 500 subscribers and has made three valid public uploads.

2. And either 3,000 valid public long-form video watch hours in the last 365 days

or 3 million public short views (YouTube Shorts) over the past 90 days.

This lower tier will be available starting first in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea over the next month, before expanding to all YPP qualifying countries later in the year.

If creators meet the new level, they can apply to join YPP and have access to numerous revenue options such as Super Thanks, Super Chat, Super Stickers, channel memberships, and the ability to market items through YouTube Shopping.

Surely this is an exciting development for budding content creators! Through this revision in policy, YouTube has encouraged the growth of diverse content creators that leads to new possibilities.

YouTube will provide additional details and discuss these new programs at the upcoming VidCon conference.
