Mumbai, 10th February 2025: Popular YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia is facing severe criticism for his recent comment on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. The internet erupted after a clip from the episode went viral, with many slamming him for what they deemed an inappropriate and offensive remark.

During the show, Ranveer posed a shocking question to a contestant:

“Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life or join them once to put a stop to it?”

The statement sparked outrage across social media, with many accusing him of promoting vulgarity under the guise of comedy.

Neelesh Misra Condemns Ranveer’s Comment

Renowned journalist and storyteller Neelesh Misra expressed his disappointment over the incident, posting on X (formerly Twitter):

“Meet the perverted creators who are shaping our country’s creative economy. I am sure each one has a following of millions. This content is not designated as adult content—it can be easily accessed by children if the algorithm directs them there. The creators and platforms have zero sense of responsibility. I am also not surprised that four people at the desk—and many in the audience—celebrated this and had a great laugh.”

Misra’s post resonated with many, sparking further criticism of Ranveer Allahbadia, as well as the show’s panel of judges, which included Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Mukhija, and Jaspreet Singh—all prominent influencers with massive online followings.

Social Media Backlash

The viral clip triggered a wave of outrage on X and Instagram, with thousands of users calling out Allahbadia’s irresponsible behavior. Many netizens questioned the lack of ethical responsibility among digital content creators, arguing that such remarks contribute to a decline in online discourse under the pretense of humor.

Some have also pointed out the contrast between Ranveer’s usual podcast persona, where he often discusses spirituality and personal growth, and his behavior on the comedy show, which they claim is contradictory to the values he promotes.

As the controversy escalates, neither Ranveer Allahbadia nor the show’s producers have issued an official statement addressing the backlash.
