Bakrid celebrated peacefully in Kondhwa

Kondhwa, Pune, August 12, 2019 : Bakri Eid festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Mithanagar locality of Kondhwa Khurd on Monday. Bakri Eid is the practice of offering sacrifices after Eid prayers. Due to the large number of Muslim communities living in Kondhwa area, large number of goats were sacrificed.

The plastic bags were allotted to store the dirt that these citizens responded to spontaneously. A self-proclaimed speaker system was arranged for transport, workers and transport vehicles to pick up all this. All arrangements were planned by The Muslim Foundation Secretary Javed Pathan, Kaleem Sheikh, Anis Pinjari, Salman Pathan, Rizwan Shaikh, Sameer Bagwan, Shahid Sheikh and others.

The Auti Saheb, Shri Patole, Shri Jana, and Daware Madam of the solid waste department of the Pune Municipal Corporation  (PMC) were kept in check. This did not cause any uncleanness in the ward. For the past four years, the Muslim Foundation and the Abdul Ghafur Ahmad Pathan have been running this initiative, till now the Muslim Foundation has been awarded the ‘Swachta Award’ twice by the Municipal Corporation and  On behalf of Abdul Gafur Pathan, the citizens of the division expressed their gratitude for the response and cooperation of the citizens of the area under their initiative to keep the Kondhwa sanitation clean under the initiative.
