Pune, May 22, 2019: Running gives us a high, but wouldn’t it be more satisfying if you knew that every stride you took, had a greater purpose? A cause like running for educating a child? If you are in Pune on July 7th, 2019, Cybage gives you a chance to do just that at the 3rd CybageRun Half Marathon. The run is scheduled to flag off from Cybage Towers in Kalyani Nagar, Pune, and will also mark Cybage’s 24th Corporate Anniversary.
CybageRun celebrates the success stories of 3500+ deserving but underprivileged children who have been aided by CybageKhushboo and aims to raise funds to sponsor more such educational projects across India. Apart from its usual categories of 5km and 10km distance runs, the organization has introduced two new exciting additions of Fun Run-3kms, and a Half Marathon-21km this year.
Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) has certified all the routes for CybageRun. Participants above the age of 18 can run in the 10km and 21km category. The 3km and 5km category has no specified age criteria thereby, allowing even kids to participate. All participants will be given a kit that will include a race bib, a dry fit t-shirt, and a finisher medal. In addition, participants of the 5km, 10km, and 21km categories will also be given a timing chip with provision of split timing as well as a timing e-certificate.
Sharing an insight on the initiative of CybageRun, Ritu Nathani, Director–Cybage and Head–CSR remarked, “We are beyond excited to announce the 3rd edition of CybageRun! At Cybage, we strongly believe in the power of education and have been relentlessly striving towards attaining a level field academically for deserving and talented children from poor socio-economic backgrounds to help them secure a bright future. Since 2009, we have tried to empower local communities in underprivileged areas through our different scalable projects. This year, we urge Cybagians as well as Punekars to join hands with CybageKhushboo and run a mile to educate a child by participating in CybageRun.”
