Last phase of Lok Sabha election in State: 3.12 crore voters in 17 constituencies to vote at 33,314 polling centers

Mumbai, Apr 25: The fourth and last phase of Lok Sabha elections for the State will be held on April 29 with remaining 17 constituencies in which 3.12 crore electorate will exercise their franchise in 33,314 polling centers. Out of them 1 crore 66 lakh 31 thousand are male voters while 1 crore 45 lakh and 59 thousand are female voters. Mumbai North constituency accounts for the highest number of third gender voters at 332. The election machinery is ready for conducting the election in the last phase.

These 17 parliamentary constituencies include 102 vidhan sabha constituencies and 33, 314 polling centers. 107,995 electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) (BU & CU)and 43,309VVPAT machines will be used in this phase.

Voting in 31 constituencies in the state was conducted in peaceful manner in the last three phases. Preparations are on for the fourth phase elections. The Election Commission has issued directives for the conduct of elections to provide basic necessary facilities at the polling centers including ‘Sakhi’ polling centers, wheel chair for diyang voters, drinking water facility, pandal for shade etc.

The polling will be held at Nandurbar (ST), Dhulem Dindori (ST), Nashik, Palghar (ST), Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Thane, Mumbai North, Mumbai Northwest, Mumbai Northeast, Mumbai Northcentral, Mumbai South central, Mumbai South, Maval, Shirur and Shirdi (SC) parliamentary constituencies in the fourth phase,.
