Policeman dies of heart attack during funeral of Maratha youth who committed suicide

Aurangabad – A police head constable died of heart attack during the funeral of Kakasaheb Shinde in Kaigaon on Tuesday morning. The deceased constable has been identified as Shyam Padgaonkar.

Shinde had jumped into Godavari river during Maratha agitation for reservation on Tuesday. During his funeral, a heavy police bandobast was deployed and Padgaonkar was also there. He suffered cardiac arrest around 11 am and died.

At the same spot, there was heated argument between people and Shiv Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire and Congress MLA Subhash Zambad. People had asked them to go from there and when they didn’t they were beaten up and forced to leave.
