Pune : 206 cadets pass out from Maharashtra Police Wireless training course

Pune, January 23, 2020: The passing out parade of 206 cadets of police wireless department was organized at the wireless headquarters on Pashan road here today. The cadets of assistant sub inspector, head constable and constable technical cadre passed out after one year basic technical and physical training.

Dr. K.Venkatesham, Commissioner of Police, Pune city was the chief guest at the function and was awarded guard of honour by the cadets. Amongst the dignitaries present at the function were Retesh Kumaarr Addl. DGP and Director Police Wireless M.S. Pune, DIGP Wireless Rajendra Dahale, DySP Training Anil Bhope and other senior officials of wireless department.

Retesh Kumaarr Director Police Wireless stressed on the need of training in the present world of changing technology. He outlined the future plans to make Maharashtra State Police Wireless as one of the prime technical police organizations in India. The training equipments and infrastructure are being upgraded to match today’s needs.

He also applauded the physical efforts taken by the cadets during DG’s/IG’s Conference held in Pune in December 2019 and chaired by Hon. Prime Minister of India. He also commended the cadets for their contribution in the construction of Sant Tukaram Sports Complex, Dnyaneshwari Sr. Police Officers’ Mess, Muktai Canteen and Sanchar Police Officers’ Mess.

Dr. K.Venkatesham, Commissioner of Police, Pune city explained the importance of wireless communication in police department. Cyber and technology related crime is a big challenge for police department and cyber proficiency of wireless personnel will definitely help in controlling it.

He congratulated Retesh Kumaarr for establishing Sir J.C.Bose E-Learning Centre and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Innovation Hub, Aryabhatt Open Museum and other welfare activities at wireless Head Quarters. He also applauded the efforts taken by cadets and staff during the passing out parade and conveyed his wishes and best luck for the future.

Meritorious cadets were felicitated during the prize distribution ceremony at the hands of the chief guest.
