Pune: Man Drowned In Swimming Pool At Yerwada’s Divisional Sports Complex
Yerwada, 21st May 2023: In a shocking turn of events, a 37-year-old man named Girish Sandeep Sutar drowned in a swimming pool at the divisional sports complex near Nagpur Chawl in Yerwada, Pune. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon around 3:30 PM.
Girish Sutar, a resident of Munjaba Vasti in Dhanori, had visited the sports complex with his wife and other family members for a swimming session. Unfortunately, while swimming, Girish’s family noticed that he had suddenly gone under the water. They raised an alarm, and attempts were made to perform artificial respiration. An ambulance was immediately summoned, and Girish was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, the doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. His body has been transferred to Sassoon Hospital for further procedures.
Sutar was known to be a swimmer, making this incident all the more unexpected and distressing. The exact cause of his death will be ascertained following the post-mortem examination.
