Road Safety Drive organised by Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, Pune police traffic branch

Pune, August 15, 2019 : The Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed To Be University) New Law College, Pune in collaboration
with Police Commissioner Office, Traffic Branch, Pune City had organised a “ ROAD SAFETY DRIVE ” as on 15th August 2019 , Thursday from 9 am to 11 am at Nal Stop, Karve Road , Pune.

The “Road Safety Drive” was conducted in order to create ‘Road Safety Awareness’ amongst the residents of Pune, to obey traffic rules, follow discipline while driving etc. In this drive awareness was created for :
a) No Mobile while driving
b) No Triple Seat Driving on Two Wheeler
c) Obey Traffic Signals
d) No Drink and Drive

This awareness was created by preparing Banners , Slogans were prepared on Card Boards by the Students of the Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College Pune , more than 40 students participated in this programme, were they also controlled the traffic at Nal Stop , they guided the public with the Banners and Slogans for Public Safety , and Counseling for few .

Mr. Rajesh Puranic, Police Inspector (Police Commissioner Office, Traffic Branch, Pune City) stated that “Discipline to Individuals can be made only when they are child , discipline and obey of traffic rules can be made only when they are Young, Discipline is a key in obeying traffic rules. Discipline starts from home then outside. Helmet is compulsory for safety of citizens, through this drive we should pledge with this slogan ‘Your Safety secures your family – Be cautious on Road’ . He deliberated on the causes and prevention of road accidents. Mr Puranik gave a statistical data of road accidents and how it is increasing by every year. The core of his speech was self discipline as a preventive method to avoid accidents and how we by disciplining ourselves can make the whole world aware towards driving safety measures. He also discussed about how individual can contribute in proper management of traffic and prevention of accidents”.

In this Road Safety Drive, Mr. Rajesh Puranic, Police Inspector (Police Commissioner Office, Traffic Branch, Pune City), Mr Pankaj Deshmukh, DCP, Traffic Branch, Pune City) Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed To Be University) New Law College, Pune, Incharge Principal Dr Bhagyashree Deshpande, Dr Sapna Deo ( Coordinator , Legal Aid Cell , New Law College ) , Mr Pradip Thopate ( Coordinator , NSS , New Law College ), along with them 40 students of New Law College participated in the Drive.
