1.5-Year-Old Girl Dies After Tractor Falls Into Well; Brother Seriously Injured
Uruli Kanchan, 30th November 2024: A tragic accident claimed the life of a 1.5-year-old girl and left her four-year-old brother seriously injured after a parked tractor accidentally rolled into a well. The incident occurred on Friday, 29th November, around 6 pm in a field near the railway station in Shindavane village, Haveli Taluka.
The deceased, Aditi Sunil More, was playing with her brother, Aryan Sunil More, when the accident happened. Aryan, who sustained severe injuries, is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Uruli Kanchan. Their mother, Janhavi Sunil More, has filed a formal complaint at the Uruli Kanchan police station.
According to police, the incident occurred while Dattatreya Mahadik was plowing a nearby field. The tractor had been parked close to the well with its ignition key still in place. While playing on the tractor, the children accidentally turned the key, causing the vehicle to start and roll into the well with them aboard.
Mahadik, who witnessed the accident, immediately attempted to rescue the children. Unfortunately, Aditi could not be saved, while Aryan was pulled out with serious injuries and rushed to the hospital.
