Pune, 4 April 2021: Sunil Furde was unanimously appointed as the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) Maharashtra President in a “Change of Guard” General Assembly organized on the digital platform due to pandemic situation.

 “The safety of construction workers has always been a priority for CREDAI. Hence looking at the second wave of Corona, CREDAI will soon launch a special vaccination campaign for construction workers. Under this, CREDAI-Maharashtra aims to provide Covid-19 preventive vaccine to 10 lakh registered construction workers in the state in a phase-wise manner, free of cost, announced Furde.

The meeting was attended by CREDAI National Chairman Satish Magar, National Vice President Shantilal Kataria, Anant Rajegaonkar, Jitendra Thakkar of National Advisory Council-CREDAI National, Pune IGR Shravan Hardikar, CREDAI Maharashtra’s immediate past President Rajiv Parikh and more than 1200 office bearers and members of CREDAI Maharashtra. On the occasion, he announced the concept ‘RED’- Real Estate Developers Talks to be organized every month.

Furde further said that “the construction sector is the second-largest employer in the country. Many organized, unorganized labourers who have settled in the state for subsistence depend on the construction sector. As the number of such workers is higher in Maharashtra as compared to other states, this vaccination campaign will be implemented across the state with CREDAI-Maharashtra as a priority. CREDAI-Maharashtra will set up all the necessary mechanisms for this and in the phase-wise system this initiative will be carried out across the state as per the guidelines of the Central and State Governments”.

Along with vaccination, CREDAI Maharashtra will soon undertake an ambitious initiative to conduct a detailed market survey with respect to construction sector allied businesses and its city-wise collection of information. We also aim to effectively implement the customer-oriented initiative CREDAI Hai, Toh Bharosa Hai’ (With CREDAI there is a Trust). It will guarantee customers to buy a home without any hesitation from registered CREDAI members. Today, CREDAI Maharashtra’s network extends to 59 cities in the state and has more than 3,000 members. CREDAI-Maharashtra has also taken up the ‘CREDAI, Aaplya Dari’ (CREDAI at your doorstep) scheme for these members, added Furde.

Along with Sunil Furde (President), Pramod Khairnar (President Elect), Mahesh Sadhwani, Rasik Chavan, Prafulla Taware, I.P Inamdar, Deepak Suryavanshi, Ravi Kadge were selected as Vice Presidents. Sunil Kotwal elected as the Secretary, Shashikant Jiddimani elected as Treasurer and Suhas Merchant as Chairman State Advisory. Anish Shah, Sanjay Gugale, Narendra Singh Jabinda, Dinesh Dhage, Sudhir Thackeray and Deepak Salvi were appointed as new joint secretaries of CREDAI Maharashtra.

Keep Stamp duty rates stable for next 6 months: Kataria

While congratulating the newly elected office bearers Satish Magar expressed his satisfaction over the performance of CREDAI Maharashtra till date and motivated members to work hard for the betterment of realty sector and consumer satisfaction.

Kataria noted that the reduction in stamp duty and the decision to keep Ready Reckoner rates stable were the major success for CREDAI. He also appealed to newly appointed IGR Hardikar to maintain the reduction in stamp duty for at least the next six months.
