1003 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 22,439 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 12 August 2021: A total of 1003 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 555 people were discharged from hospitals. 09 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 22,439 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8102 active patients in the district and 4449 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3653 are in home isolation. Out of 1003 new cases, 226 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 193 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 95 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 04 in cantonments, and 485 in rural areas.
Among the 09 deaths, four were in PMC, two were in PCMC, one was in cantonments, and two were in rural areas. Out of 555 discharged patients, 142 were in PMC, 137 were in PCMC, 38 were in municipal councils, 10 were in cantonments, and 228 were in rural areas.
