1006 new COVID cases in Pune city today, 581 discharged

Pune, July 9, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 581 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. 1006 new patients were detected while 16 patients died. Today swab samples of 4684 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 25,174 out of which 15,579 have been cured while 786 have died. There are still 8809 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 402 critical patients out of which 75 are on ventilator support.

 

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 568 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas till 6.45 pm today. Also, 169 people got discharged from hospitals while nine people died today. The report is for the last 24 hours.

 

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 6061 out of which 3681 have been cured while 86 have died.

 

Maharashtra reported 6,875 new COVID-19 cases and 219 deaths today, taking the total number of cases to 2,30,599 including 1,27,259 recoveries and 9,667 deaths. The number of active cases stands at 93,652.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 767,296 across the country. Out of this, 476,377 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 21,129 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 269,789 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
