1019 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 34,164 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 5 August 2021: A total of 1019 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 920 people were discharged from hospitals. 12 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 34,164 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9059 active patients in the district and 4877 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4182 are in home isolation. Out of 1019 new cases, 244 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 216 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 74 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 8 in cantonments, and 477 in rural areas.
Among the 12 deaths, Five were in PMC, two were in PCMC, two were in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and three were in rural areas. Out of 920 discharged patients, 139 were in PMC, 228 were in PCMC, 69 were in municipal councils, 12 were in cantonments, and 472 were in rural areas.
